Franny Moyle in her book "The King's Painter" wrote:
"The Prophet Windows in the Cathedral date from the late eleventh century - their luminosity, bright coloration and flat, two dimensional figures, which no doubt signalled their medieval status then, seem strangely modern to the
twenty-first century eye." (Ref. 38 page 92)

Hard to believe that these windows are about 1000 years old.

It is nearly impossible to establish the age of these images by merely looking at them! But science can help...
