SO... WHAT IS IT?
“Sunset at Montmajour” (van Gogh) was bought in 1908 by the Norwegian Mr. Mustad and was shortly thereafter declared a forgery by (probably) the Norwegian consul in Paris for (likely) deceptive reasons. Lately the Van Gogh Museum did extensive analyses and found it to be an absolute original Van Gogh. It is not easy to be a Non Science Researcher, click HERE.

How about Katrain?
When you look at Katrain, your first impression is: NEW. That is how she looks. Just new. Logically followed by: "This is 19ᵗʰ Century". No question about it. There is not any visible indication that she's much older and that is the almost insurmountable barrier to overcome.
The similarities of Katrain and Toledo are so extraordinary that assuming different artists is stretching our imagination. But...
How could a glass painter in the 19ᵗʰ Century get his hands on some 400 year old Forest glass? Did he use a travelling salesman with a handheld XRF?
Why are we suddenly pushing Katrain into the limelight? Actually it is pure coincident! She was in our family always Jacoba van Beieren. So what. As explained before, she had been in the family for over 350 years and tucked away in a sturdy cardboard box under a cupboard. But the ball got rolling when a family member some 12 years ago just happen to take a closer look. And that’s the rest of the story!
Why are Katrain and Toledo identical? Simple! Imagine a glass painter some 100 years ago, likely an unknown van Rijn, had money to burn. He travelled to England and took a number of pictures of the (not yet restored) Toledo on his phone. Used Paint on his computer to clean it up and with the StarTrek Replicator Katrain was created.
